Life has taken primordial man through many trials and tribulations, leaving him with plenty of valid reasons to be angry, resentful and untrusting. The only benefit he could find was pain … and more pain. But must we allow the pain to cut us off from our hearts? No. Can we take those feelings and turn them into our "guiding light?" Absolutely, yes we can.
We can honor and acknowledge those feelings, and extract the positive out of each experience, thus transforming them into trust, unconditional forgiveness and acceptance.
However, trust requires that we surrender our desire to control things. In the past, primordial man thought that by controlling things he could be safe. When he surrendered control, he could begin to trust God and other people. Trust in God means he is capable of trusting his family, or people he doesn't even know. When he trusts in others, he is not only trusting in them, but also in their divinity. Therefore, he is trusting in his God.
