The
August Ah-Man Newsletter focuses on Feelings and Being Judgmental, and I'll be continuing the discussion in my
blog posts this month. You can catch up with the newsletter discussion HERE.
Sadness…grief…separation…loneliness.
These
feelings can be overwhelming, but they also are barometers, as are all
feelings. Remember that our feelings can help us either process situations in
life or get stuck in them. If we choose to work on them, we would work through
the different stages of them and, ultimately, after processing them for a time,
the goal is to witness them. What I mean is that we get to have them and not
let them have us.
Life
here in our world is a place of duality, a world of opposites. We cannot have
the feelings of happiness without also experiencing the sadness of life. It’s
just one of the laws I have spoken of in my past blogs and newsletters. It is
the Law of Nature, and they will happen regardless if we believe in them or
not, just like the Laws of God/Source, Attractions, Society, etc.
Trying
not to have your feelings is like holding two powerful magnets close to each
other and not letting them come together. It becomes more work than just going
through them. Like magnets, we have positive and negative powers. If you
demagnetize the magnets, you lose both the power of the positive and the
negative. So trying to have only good feelings (or what one might consider as
positive feelings) is not possible in a world of duality; or some people would
say it’s living in denial.
Again,
I am no therapist, psychiatrist, etc., but as an individual who has had to
process a lot of feelings from very early on in life, I can tell you my
experience has been the full range of whatever way one will or will not process
them. Sometimes part of my process was to stuff them…drown them out with mind
altering substances…sit in them for periods of time…and then finally, to identify
and move through them with professionals, groups and God.
We all
have our process, but something that was taught to me early on was that I had
to first become Aware of what was
needed to be processed; then Accept
the fact it needed processing; and, finally, take Action to work through them.
The
old saying “every cloud has a silver lining” is true. Everything that we go
through in life is helping us in one way or another. Finding out how these
situations have helped us is just part of the silver lining. There is so much
more. But I will leave that for another time.
Thank
you. Much peace & love to you.
Namaste,
Michael
