This coming weekend, I will get to honor Passover with my fiancée, Liz, and some of our friends. We (mostly Liz) will host it. I love tradition and all that this tradition represents. I also feel that at every Passover Seder I have attended, there is a wonderful openness that is also celebrated…an openness to each person’s interpretation of what this holiday represents to them.
For me, I see it as liberation…freedom from all kinds of bondage. There is the freedom to be myself, the freedom to allow others to be themselves, freedom to know that I am being taken care of by God in Her/His own special way. Freedom to know that I just have to do my very best and leave the rest up to God and others to figure out. The freedom that comes along with the inner knowing that this world is not the be all and end all. That the peace and freedom I feel now is but a fraction of what it will be after life on this plane. The freedom to be able to say and practice the spirituality of my choice…freely.
Freedom from bondage is experiencing the merging of the human with the Divine.
Namaste,
Michael
