Like many things in life, steady consistent practice brings results. In the past, I have talked about three ways of experiencing going within. Of course there are other ways but for now, let’s keep it as simple as possible. Meditation, contemplation and internal prayer/japa (Japa is the continuation of saying different names of God).
Meditation (turn off the cell phones)
Try to find 5-10 minutes, three times a day to give you some of your “Quiet Time”. Certainly once a day. If so, AM is best. Starting your day without it is like a carpenter going to work without his tools.
When I speak of meditation here, I am speaking of that which brings about Pure Knowledge and is experienced as Silence.
I am not talking about guided meditations and waterfalls/rainstorms, etc. While those are different meditations they are still of this world.
-First, find a place as quiet and undisturbed as possible.
-Place your right hand over your heart, your left over the right. Firs,t feel and hear your heart beat, then imagine going just behind your heart to that scared chamber where God is there waiting for you.
-Picture the God of your understanding if, not a visual picture then a white light or think of yourself relaxing in the Divine Mothers arms.
-Breathe in the love you have for them, breath out the gratitude of all you are and have.
-Take these deep breaths….8-9-10 of them…then just experience the Silence. Think of being wrapped in a Cocoon of Love.
After the breaths….
Just be in the Silence…..if thoughts come up….just refocus on the Light or rocking in the Arms of the Divine….
“Blessed are those who are Pure of Heart….for they will see (experience) God.”
Sermon on the Mount.
God bless,
