Bryce reminded me of both Native American Spirituality and Hinduism.
Native American Spirituality because, though there were no wooden Totem Poles, I think you’ll understand why I see some of the rock formations as Totem Poles.
Hinduism because the rock formations looked like they could be deities that have been carved by Brahmans, and because the rock formations also looked like Shiva Linga’s.
Liz and I spent three days hiking the different trails that brought us through the many different rock formations. Here a few of the many pictures we took.
When we arrived at the park, it was late afternoon. Looking into the canyon for the first time from a spot near our cabin, it looked as if it could be snow in the valley below. We knew it couldn't possibly be snow, because of the heat we were feeling as we watched the sun set.
Views like this were so abundant, it was just about impossible to select only a few pictures to share with you.
Throughout the different formations, there were holes cut through the rocks by natural causes.
If you look off in the distance to the right, you'll see a formation towering over the others. This formation reminded me of Archangel Michael looking over all of us.
These rock formations reminded me of a parent speaking to their kids.
This formation looked like a gathering of women with baskets on their heads.
This was one of several natural bridgets that were cut out of the rock formations.
Gathered to offer a prayer of thanks.
This looked like another gathering where many were gathered to hear words of wisdom from the heavens.
