Don’t make assumptions – Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want. Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness and drama. With just this one agreement, you can completely transform your life.
You know the old saying “to assume is to make an ass-u-me.”
Some people are more unconscious than others. They just assume they are on the same page as others. They’ll even hide behind misbeliefs like, “I thought you meant”…., this comes from the disease or being at dis-ease and being afraid of clarity.
Many people are living in some level of fear of others, afraid to ask a question or get clarity because of what the other person might think or say.
How many times have you not spoken up for yourself? Only later to beat yourself up about it?
Or how about when we let our mind go into overtime about something someone said or did and think of all these horrible comments to say or possible outcomes to something that is not real or even happened yet? Think of the poison we are sending ourselves and the other people? And we all know, 99% of the time what our mind concocts has nothing to do with the outcome.
Think of the relationships you’ve been in. How many times have their been misunderstandings because one person thought the other person “should have” known what the other was thinking?
All we have to do is ask questions and continue to ask questions until we get the clarity we need.
Namaste,
Michael
